Lightchase Trails was founded on a simple philosophy: the most profound travel experiences happen when you stop counting destinations and start observing them.
Limiting our trails to tightly knit, small groups allows us to unlock access to remote cultural rituals, unique heritages, and pristine landscapes that mass commercial tourism overlooks.
From dawn light across quiet ranges to the lived history of local communities, we design highly tailored trails where every detail is meticulously planned around authenticity, creative inspiration, and mindful exploration.
Co-founded by photographers Agni (@agnimax) and Abhishek (@ghoomta.phirta), this initiative was born from a shared passion for exploring remote frontiers and documenting their raw character. We believe every creator should have the opportunity to experience and capture these wild landscapes without the friction of complex mountain travel.
Our trails blend distinct strengths: Agni drives technical photography mentorship across rugged terrain, while Abhishek manages high-altitude routing and trail logistics. We handle the trucks and the terrain so you are completely free to focus on your creative vision and capture every location in the best possible light.

My journey began in the emerald heart of Kerala, where infinite greenery and the warmth of the people taught me that beauty is felt, not just seen. My obsession with mountains started early; long before picking up a camera, I translated the majesty of peaks onto paper using pencil sketches and watercolors, learning the language of light.
In the early 2000s, I transitioned from the brush to the digital sensor, returning repeatedly to the mist-shrouded ridges of Munnar before following the high-altitude call of the rugged Himalayas. Now based in Bangalore, I bridge the quiet of the mountains with the world’s energy. I strip away the noise to frame nature’s unfiltered truth and life’s honest emotions.

For me, travel isn’t about checking destinations off a list—it’s about understanding the rhythm, history, and light of a place. As a landscape, travel, and cultural photographer, my perspective has been shaped by years of field exploration, with my visual work recognized by National Geographic Your Shot and utilized by tourism bodies like Incredible India and various state tourism departments in India.
Whether I am collaborating with premier imaging brands like Sigma India or documenting forgotten regional festivals, my philosophy remains grounded: stay patient, rely on natural light, and look deeper than the surface. I co-founded this venture to move away from commercialized, rushed tourism and instead host intimate, tightly curated group journeys that give curious travelers true access to the heart of a destination.
